This business plan was commissioned by the Central Goldfields Shire Council and on behalf of Country Education Partnership, to identify specific ways to minimise risk and maximise opportunities to help ensure the future of the celebration event by considering all areas of sustainability, not only for the region’s benefit, but also for the commitment to the STEM education program.
Oregional Collective together with ARC Ventures identified the business plan’s key focus of event sustainability needed to be tackled via five key action areas including:
The plan aimed to ensure event sustainability and most importantly aimed to support the Maryborough community in retaining the celebration event and continuing to develop it as the premier tourism event in the Region.
Results
The plan contributed to Energy Breakthrough event receiving $1.5 million in government funding to develop the event and action items required to remain sustainable into the long term future.
